Live To Spin is a documentary, filmed in high definition, revolving around the true drama, competition, and struggle that one Canadian Color Guard team has undergone while competing against the U.S. teams. Live To Spin is also about the history and determination of one dedicated group of people and the difference they make in the lives of young people....
The term 'Color Guard' is one that very few people in Canada are familiar with, but it is a highly recognized sport in the United States (and therefore, only the U.S. spelling of color is recognized in the sport).
Color Guards are sometimes confused with cheerleaders because of the dance aspect, and because they can often be seen during sporting events, but this is where the similarities end. By combining equipment work (spinning flags, rifles and sabres), dance, drama and gymnastics, all choreographed to musical selections, they bring the music to life through their performance and create breathtaking shows.
Due to the lack of awareness and support needed to promote this sport in BC and Canada we decided to make a documentary about the team that will help educate people about this beautiful sport. Hopefully we will take you for the SPIN of your life! Don't we all love to root for the Underdog?
Don't we all love to cheer for our home team? What if this home team is a Color Guard team?
You can make a difference. Visit our blog to follow the team's journey and find ways that you can show your support.
